  1. If this video helped you out please don't forget to give it a big thumbs up and drop a comment! Thanks and I hope it helps everyone out.

If this still isn't working for you or you're getting the hung up at 39% error. Try the following.

1: Are you installing it on your main hard drive (where windows is located)? If not completely uninstall it then reinstall on the main hard drive.

2: Completely uninstall. Then manually install DirectX. If installs without an issue then try and reinstall Apex Legends.

3: If it hangs up at 39% but doesn't say anything just try and leave it be. I've read people have left it along for like 5 to 10 mins and it started again.

4: A fix reported to me by OZ1 GAMING is when the download stops move the rar files to the backup folder I told you to create and run the .exe file (one of the 3 I tell you to leave) and it didn't work right away but after a minute it worked for him. Give it a try. ?

5: Žiga Matjašič had this solution work for them – "The thing that fixed it for me was uninstalling vc++ 2017 in control panel and installing the vc++ 2015 (since they are similar so when you try to install the 2015 vc it gives you an error because you have 2017 vc installed) from the apex vc folder (both the x86 and x64 ). I also unchecked the enable origin in game. I hope this helps for someone"

6: A fix by ravioli meat:
"Same problem here boys, been working on it for days. I had all the same problems and tried EVERYTHING except for uninstalling c++ 2010 because my computer couldn't locate it. I went here ( https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/windows-fix-problems-that-block-programs-being-installed-or-removed ) and used this program to basically force uninstall c++ 2010 x64 and x86.
Here are the fresh downloads for x64 and x86: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13523 –x64

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8328 –x86
After that I started up Origin and FINALLY…..!!! I SEEN 40%!!!!!!"

If any of these work (or don't) please let me know so we can keep helping others. Thanks!

  2. here the quick fix
1-Go to C:Program Files (x86)Origin GamesApex__Installerdirectxredist (or any other game that gives you this problem)
    2-Sort the folder by name
    3-VERY IMPORTANT!:
Delete all files EXCEPT, DSETUP.dll, dsetup32.dll, DXSETUP.EXE and any .cab file with a 2010 in the name.

  3. thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you

  4. I installed directx manually but Origin still didnt work so i had to mess around registry but it worked for me 🙂
Also a small tip if your game is getting launched in windowed screen all the time simply go to origin -> game properties -> advanced launch options -> Command line arguments
    -> add: -fullscreen

TO FIX GO INTO REGEDIT AND CHANGE THIS, NO RESTART IS REQUIRED.

    Navigate to the following keys:

    ComputerHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftDirectX

    ComputerHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWOW6432NodeMicrosoftDirectX

Then change the key 4.09.00.0904 to 4.08.00.0904
