  1. Being a Liverpool fan, I have no problem with Messi winning the award last night. He had an incredible year not only statistically but his skills were breathtaking as well. What I dont understand is how was marcelo picked ahead of Robertson or how did TAA not get into the world 11? I mean Madrid sucked big time last season and conceded so many goals yet Ramos and Marcelo in the team ahead of the tightest defense in premier league plus our two right backs assisted for fun.

  2. Messi is THE BEST, why?
There was only ever going to be one answer to this. The most goals in La Liga and the Champions League, the most assists in La Liga, the most dribbles in the Champions League and the second-most in La Liga, the most chances created in La Liga and the most big chances created in La Liga and the Champions League.

You could go on and on. He was thoroughly dominant in every possible way. Even during the 4-0 humiliation against Liverpool he dribbled past countless players and created three big chances that team-mates squandered. He has shouldered the burden of being Barcelona’s chief creative force and their main goalscorer with an absurd level of ease.

Messi is such a lightning-fast dribbler with the ball at his feet and his passing bends space and time, warping your perceptions and glueing your eyes to the screen. He’s deadly, delightful, and dominant. No one on the planet even comes close. As no. 2 on this list, Van Dijk, said himself: “I think that Messi is still the best player in the world and it doesn’t matter if he isn’t in the Champions League final.”

  3. If ever a defender should win, it should be this year. Simply best performance ever.. Unfortunately attacking players are always more popular -.-

another club’s first team besides your

    current one?

Ronaldo: Yes! Sporting CP in Portugal

    first division and Manchester United

    in BPL.
    Real Madrid and Juventus

    appearances or 9 seasons.

Messi: 603 goals in 687 appearances

    or 15 seasons.

Judge: Who has scored more hattricks in La Liga?

Ronaldo: Me. 35 in La Liga.

Messi: Ronaldo has. I’ve scored 34

Judge: Which is the most prestigious

    competition in club football?

    Ronaldo: Champions League.

    Messi: Champions League.

Judge: Have any of you won Champions League?

Judge: Who has more assists between the two of you in the CL?

    Ronaldo: I have

    Messi: I’ve scored 603

Judge: How many football records do each of you hold in total for both club and country?

    Ronaldo: 146

    Messi: 110

Judge: Well, after analyzing all of the facts that have been presented to me. I can only draw one conclusion when

it comes to comparing you both as football players. That conclusion is that Ronaldo is the better player in almost every category. When it comes to goal scoring and accolades for both club and country, Ronaldo

comes out on top. Messi, you are without a doubt Barcelona’s best player of all time. But certainly not

the world’s best ever. That is clearly Ronaldo at the moment.

Messi: But I am younger than Ronaldo

and haven’t played as many matches

    as him.

Judge: I understand that, but until you surpass his goal scoring records and win as many trophies both individually and collectively as he

has, then Ronaldo will, according to the statistics, be considered as the best football player of all time. Until

then, keep pushing on and you just might be able to achieve just as

    much as Ronaldo

  5. I won't understand if Van Dijk wins because yes he had a great season in the UCL and runner up in the nations league but in 2018 Varane who won everything in the UCL and World Cup wasn't even in the top 5 what the hell???

  6. Its funny how some people believe messi wouldn't win ballondor this year. Funny thing is Ronaldo fans thinking he will win is just a joke

Ronaldo won the ballondor in 2013 without winning a single trophy despite Ribery winning a champions league treble. So now because he won 3 trophies and had a poor performance for a striker this season means he deserve it because it means more when Ronaldo wins trophies?

So I ask u Ronaldo fans why shouldn't messi win it this year despite a dominant performance across all competition while winning LA liga.

  7. If FIFA The best is an individual award Messi deserves it without a doubt. He has scored 51 goals, won la liga pichichi, champions league golden boot, Europe's golden boot and assisted more than 20+ goals.

    AC Milan fan

  8. Without shadow of the doubt messi was the best player of the 2018/19 season and he carried barcelona by his own many times. Messi is the winner by far for the best and ballon dor both.
